About The Founder

dan's office pictureWith sawdust in his blood from an early age, Dan Dahlberg began his construction career working with his father and uncles. He obtained his California general contractor’s license and was off and running. During a dip in the construction business in the eighties, he became a general manager for the Rusty Pelican restaurants. It was during this time that Dan developed his passion for restaurant construction and remodeling. Since then, his company has completed construction on more than seven restaurants, several hundred thousand square feet of office and industrial space, and many retail businesses. In 1992, Dan moved Hardcastle Company Builders (HCB) to Denver. Since then HCB has become a well-known builder on the Front Range, tackling a wide variety of commercial and residential projects. Recently, the company has been instrumental in the ongoing revitalization of the East Evans Business Corridor. In 2010 their work was honored by the Greater Denver Homebuilders Association. HCB has a well-deserved reputation for quality construction completed on time and on budget.

Giving back to the community is important to Dan. He is the vice president of the East Evans Business Association, a member of the Greater Glendale Chamber of Commerce, and the Cherry Creek Chamber of Commerce. He mentors young adults and tirelessly supports quality education for children.

30 years of construction experience and the legacy of four generations of builders and developers in his family enable Dan to build beautiful, well designed spaces tailored to the individual needs of his clients. He has arranged financing for a diverse array of projects and has achieved effective, ongoing relationships with bankers and financial institutions. He has financed fifteen developments over the years through the establishment of limited partnerships and joint ventures.

Dan’s integrity, unsurpassed attention to detail and superb customer service have helped him grow HCB into a premier commercial design/build company. He continues to serve his Colorado clients well with expertise in conceptualization, design, construction, marketing, and finance. Dan gets things done.
